Ice cream? No! They are Soapsicle! Pin It

The moment I lay my eyes on these, I fell in love. These Soapsicle (aka soap popsicle) are great looking and so easy to make! They make the perfect party favors or as a gift for your girlfriends when they head over your house for a sleepover.

Here’s how it is done:

Melt and Pour Soap (~4 to 4.5 ounce per Soapsicle with standard popsicle mold)
Coloring (Either a soap colorants or basic food coloring)
Soap fragrance (if desire)
Popsicle sticks / Ice cream sticks
Popsicle molds
Rubbing alcohol
Table knife

1) Melt your soap in a microwave or a double boiler.

2) Add in any colour and/or fragrance you desire.

3) Pour the liquid soap into a popsicle mold.

4) Spray the surface with rubbing alcohol to remove any air bubbles.

5) Carefully insert popsicle stick into the soap. Binder clips can be used to ensure the sticks are centred and upright.

6) Let it cool for a couple of hours and I’d usually place the mold in the freezer for another half hour after.

7) Remove the mold from freezer and use a table knife to aid the removal of your Soapsicle from the mold.

8) Use the knife to smooth the edges.

9) Wrap your Soapsicle in any way you desire and serve!

Variations:
Get creative with the colours and shape! You can also use a cookie cutter to help you cut your Soapsicle. Layer different colours, use a fanciful mold. [Here’s one from SaponeSoaps on Etsy.] There’s so many variations and I can’t wait to see yours!
You can also choose to make your own soap from scratch instead of using Melt and Pour soap base. Learn how with this video.

Do you like it? Have you tried it? I’d love to see your creations!
