DIY Beauty: Brown Sugar Body Scrub

Time: 04 40

Status: Too much “evolution of management” too little beauty time! Time to get some beauty time going.

Body scrub – helps to exfoliate skin to create a healthy glowing skin. Exfoliating also helps prevent ingrown hair.

I have been wanting to get a body scrub for the longest time but knowing me, lazy and at times, forgetful, I kept delaying the purchase of one till a couple of days ago. However, just when I walked pass The Body Shop and wanted to buy me some body scrub, I realise that I can actually DIY myself! (My new year’s resolution was to DIY more stuff!)

So I came home and googled (didn’t you know, Google’s my best friend lol) and true enough, there’s so many results from a simple “DIY body scrub” search. The one I’m gonna show is via TheBeautyDepartment.

Brown sugar – {Quote from TheBeautyDepartment} “an anti-bacterial and also contains glycolic acid which is an alpha-hydroxyl acid ingredient that keeps skin healthy + vibrant. At the same time it moisturizes and conditions the skin and protects it from the harmful effects of toxins.”

Ready to create some Skin-Loving Goodness?

What you will need:

  • half a cup of brown sugar
  • three tablespoons of olive oil
  • a few drops of water.

Simply mix the ingredients together and store it in a mason jar for future use! For more added DIY fun, you can even decorate the mason jar.

Status: Beauty Time!

In this One Minute Beauty Tip Series, I’m gonna share some random beauty tip that can be added to your daily routine. I’ve tried and it works for me so I hope it will benefit you too!

Tip #1: Make your skin Glow.
Exfoliation is the key. Use a bath scrub in the shower to get rid of those dead skin cells. You will realise wh surface after that is a healthy glowing skin. This is especially useful to people who’s prone to back acne.
